Brought Baby J to Dr Ang Ai Tin @ Thomson Paediatric Centre just within TMC for the follow-up checkup. The counter nurse identify his yellow tint and sent us to Level 4 Laboratory (same place as the OSCAR scan) to do blood test
Done with blood test then back to clinic to wait. Although there is a supposing 'appointment' we still waiting long hours there due to the fully packed clinic.
Finally saw Dr Ang and the test result is not satisfactory. Bilirubin level is pretty high and she recommend us to admit baby for 2 nights minimally to do the phototherapy as it will be a safer and faster remedy in case the level goes even higher which may cause brain damage to baby.

And so we decide to go with her recommendation. Was given a referral letter and directed to level 1 to prepare his admission procedure.

Then we head to the Nursery and the nurse in charge explained to us the procedure and what we need to do and given this FAQ. We can decide to feed him formula or bring along Express Breast Milk daily. We can visit him daily within visiting hours, preferably avoiding 2-4pm.
