Attended Thomson Confinement Food Tasting @ Thomson Parentcraft Centre (directly opposite Thomson Medical Centre). The session begins at 11am with a talk by TCM Dr Seah Ai Wei talking about Confinement care, basically the same presentation as what we attended during Childbirth Education Doctor's Talk at SCGS. Then towards the end all mummy get to taste samples of their signature dishes
Understand that they now have Halal & Non-Halal menu, if you are keen to try can register for their food tasting session held every month on their website.
Their 28 days menu with different dishes for lunch & dinner daily
Sign up at the promo rate of $1860 during the session, online signup is at $1868 for FBI/SBI member and $1980 for general public.
Cost around $33 per meal consisting of 2 main dish, 1 rice, 1 soup & red date tea with home delivery. Definitely not consider cheap but since I have no intention of having confinement nanny, at least I got the meals solve and even with the nanny to cook i also need to set aside additional funds for the marketing cost and herbs are definitely not cheap.
There are also other vendors providing such services, such as Chilli Padi, Rich Food, Natal Essentials, Superstar Nanny, ConfinementFood.com, Confinement Food Singapore, TingKat Delivery. But Thomson stands out due to the menu is developed by TCM and they hardly repeat the same food items.
Accordingly to Dr Seah, the menu is divided into 2 parts, so first 14 days the menu is planned for the just delivered mummy. Thus although the actual Day 1 delivered meal might not be as shown in the Menu for Day 1, its still suitable for mummy body.
Currently they also have a promotion for all June sign-up and get a complimentary family photoshoot as well as a 3D baby foot cast.
We sign up immediately and also receive the vouchers on the same day
